Anyone who was an undergraduate of any Nigerian University in the 70’s must have witnessed the peaceful atmosphere of the campus in those days. The focus of Tertiary Institutions in those days was the development of the total man; integrity was more emphasized than mere acquisition of certificates. Today, the story is completely different. The campus is definitely not what it used to be some years ago. The situation of our campuses, especially the public tertiary institutions, leaves so much to be desired; cultism grows unabated, immorality is the order of the day; scandals, sexual harassment and mismanagement are very rampant.
